The 18th Annual Great Downtown Ithaca Chili Cook-off will take place Saturday, February 6th, from 11:30am-4:00pm. Chili Cook-off features chili prepared by approximately 30 restaurants as they compete for the titles of Best Meat/Overall Chili, Best Vegetarian, and People's Choice Chili. In addition to Chili, there are other Chili related food items. The Chili Cook-off will feature a farmers market with vendors and local wineries, breweries, and farmer's sampling their goods. Day-Of Tickets (Feb. 6th)
Both VIP and Non-VIP Tickets will be sold at the three outdoor tickets booths at chili cook-off and the Downtown Visitors Center while supplies last. A limited number of VIP packages will be sold on February 6th. No refunds on Chili Cook-off tickets are given before, during or after the event. Ticket Booths are Cash Only so visit the ATM before getting in line.

Longtime supporter of the Chili Cook-Off and this year's presenting sponsor, The Tompkins Trust Company, will be taking Chili-Cook Off to a whole new level by converting the Center Ithaca lobby into a Family Fun Zone for the day, packed with free and affordable activities for the whole family! These include face painting, craft stations, and even indoor roller skating!
Also new this year, from 12:00 - 4:00 PM the Finger Lakes School of Massage will be offering free massages from current students in the lobby of their brand new location in the Rothschild Building at 215 E State St. Stop by, warm up, and relax
Chili Idol Karaoke presented by Elephant Sound will run throughout the event on the stage of the Bernie Milton Pavilion. Sign up on the spot to belt out your favorite tune and compete for a trophy!
As you stroll the Commons, keep a lookout for world-renowned hypnotist Michael C. Anthony who will be working the crowds to promote his show at the State Theatre of Ithaca that evening (5:00 PM, doors at 4:00 PM) which has been described as "an avant-garde blend of the human psyche and eye-popping theatre" that will "surprise even the most hardened skeptic."
From 3:00 to 3:30 PM, the Ithaca Beard and Mustache Club -a local organization whose mission statement affirms that "with great facial hair comes great responsibility"-will host the 7th annual Chili Stache Competition, which this year will include such categories as Crafty All Ages Chili Stache and Best Full Chili Beard.
