Opening reception for “Create Curiousity,” by Hana Hamad and “Ship Skeletons,” by Brendan McKelvy.
Hamad investigates subconscious thought through conscious action and recognition in a suite of prints displayed with two sculptures.
McKelvy explores the decay of manmade structures into natural environments, such as shipwrecks, through this mixed-media woodblock series.
Hana and Brendan created this work as participants of the Ithaca College Summer Scholar program, which gives students in all Humanities and Sciences disciplines the opportunity to work alongside dedicated faculty members to collaborate on mutually enriching projects over the the course of 8 weeks each summer.
