This evening we will be featuring two stellar Ithaca-based bands at the CFCU Summer Concert Series: 6-6:45 PM: Noon Fifteen 7-8 PM: Kitestring Progressive soul band Noon Fifteen blends rich vocal harmonies, vintage keyboard and guitar tones, and funky bass and drum grooves into catchy, original songs that are full of surprises. Fronted by the charismatic Jamaican-born singer and songwriter Nee Nee Rushie, this Hudson Valley-based band plays original music that is rooted in and reverent toward the genres and rhythms of Jamaican pop: reggae, rocksteady, and ska. Downtown Ithaca's Winter Lights Festival is getting ready to make its community debut. The wondrous display of colorful prisms on and around The Ithaca Commons will be open daily, December 5 - December 15. Our 11-day festival will feature a special visit from Santa Clause, a family-fun silent disco, the ever-popular Ice Bar: an outdoor bar made entirely of ice, and of course, the annual Chowder Cook-Off.Find out more »
