Imagine George Orwell’s 1984 and Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove mashed together\, with a little bit of Airplane! and Jonathan Swift. \nAbout the Author: Charlie Green is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Literatures in English at Cornell University. His collection of poems\, Feral Ornamentals\, was published in 2021\, and his writing has appeared in Image\, The Southeast Review\, and other venues. \nAlex Gilvarry is the author of the novels From the Memoirs of a Non-Enemy Combatant and Eastman Was Here. He is a visiting professor at Cornell University.

This workshop introduces essential watercolor techniques such as wet-on-wet\, dry brush\, layering\, and color blending. We will work from life\, using fresh spring flowers as our inspiration\, while exploring composition\, light\, and texture. \nAll levels of experience are welcome!  Just bring your creativity and a willingness to explore! More advanced students are also welcome to refine their skills and experiment with new approaches.
