Downtown Ithaca postpones Gunpoets’ Summer Concert Series show

SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 ITHACA, NY — Due to circumstances beyond our control, Downtown Ithaca is postponing Thursday’s CFCU Summer Concert Series performance from the Gunpoets.

“We are currently working with the band and our production team on rescheduling this performance. As soon as it is finalized, we will notify the public,” says Scott Rougeau, special events director for the Downtown Ithaca Alliance, the organization which helps draft the series’ performances.

However, the concert series will continue. In lieu of this week’s postponement, the series will present a virtual concert stream featuring a collection of each of the series’ past performances in 2020. This week’s “Best of 2020 so far” stream will walk viewers through the series to date.

“Each concert will be represented in this week’s stream as we look back at some of our favorite songs, creating a super playlist,” says Rougeau.

This week’s free show will feature:
• Luke G & The Candyhearts
• Empire Kings
• Danielle Ponder
• Mijail Martinez and the Cantina Ramblers
• The Notorious String Busters
• Fall Creek Brass Band
• La Llorona
• Kitestring
• Alex Cano
• Maddy Walsh & the Blind Spots
• The Comb Down

The concert stream will begin at 6 pm Thursday, Sept. 10 at all of the links below.
