On Saturday\, November 8\, Tompkins County Public Library is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the opening of the modern Library on East Green Street. \nThe birthday party and open house from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. will highlight all the services your library offers\, as well as offer treats\, games\, crafts\, historic displays\, a dance party\, and a special visit by “Ezra Cornell” to unveil two new library cards designed by library patrons and chosen by the community. \nThose in attendance will also have a chance to explore the Makerspace\, hear from community leaders\, share their library memories\, and connect with the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library and the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation.

SUMMARY:Community Reading of the U.S. Constitution
DESCRIPTION:Join the Tompkins County Historical Commission\, Interim Tompkins County Historian Carol Kammen\, the Greater Ithaca Activities Center\, and Tompkins County Public Library for a community reading of the U.S. Constitution. \nThis non-partisan event is a chance to reflect on the rule of law at a time of great crisis. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to sign up to read a portion of the Constitution and its Amendments. Volunteers on site will be available to take pictures of readers upon request. Please share pictures on social media using #ConstitutionAtTCPL. \nFree pocket Constitutions will also be available for those in attendance. \nBecause of limited space\, and because this is a non-partisan event\, we request that any signs be left off-site.
