DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Downstairs in Ithaca\, NY\, on April 22nd\, for a special night of music as we pay tribute to the late local legend Jack Sousa. Sousa was known for his unique style of music\, which he called Wild Hop – a blend of wilderness culture and musical influences that was a perfect fit for the vibrant community of Ithaca. \nTo honor his memory\, DJ Annatto will be releasing a special EP titled “Light Like a Batwing: A Tribute to Jack Sousa” at the event. This EP features Annatto’s sonic take on Sousa’s Wild Hop style\, a fitting tribute to the musician’s unique legacy\, with immersive visuals to enhance the elegiac atmosphere. Friends and collaborators\, including RiBB3TZ\, will offer performances and tributes. \nDoors open at 8:30\, and the music will start at 9:00 and go until midnight. Join us for a night filled with amazing talent\, heartfelt tributes\, and an unforgettable celebration of Jack Sousa’s life and music. \nOn this night the Ithaca community remembers one of its own and celebrates the impact that Jack Sousa had on the local music scene.
