Join us for a CHAT (Community History Across Tompkins) round-table presentation and discussion with Zoë Van Nostrand on her recent research and discovery on if the proliferation of the popular Tabby Cat/Ithaca Kitty in the early 20th century is what created and popularized the term “calico cat.”
Presentation followed by round-table discussion on how a woven cotton fabric became short-hand for a multi-colored cat.
No registration necessary.
