Morris is an English dance tradition that marks the turning of the seasons with joyful music, colorful costumes, bells and ribbons, flashing hankies, clashing sticks, swords, and garlands. These dances have been done since before Shakespeare’s time.

The Bassett St Hounds Morris team from Syracuse is 40 years old this summer and we are celebrating with our friends. Eight teams from New York and New England will be performing in Watkins Glen and Ithaca on August 16 and 17.
