A single mother raising two children in the Depression dreams of a Southern gentility long vanished. A sensitive daughter wraps herself up in a world of glass and old records. The son, a budding artist, longs to flee the constrictions of a crowded working-class apartment and a dead-end job. Into their lives drops a ‘gentleman caller’ —“the long-delayed but always expected something that we live for.”
Theatre Incognita concludes its spring 2024 season with performances of Tennessee Williams’ immortal THE GLASS MENAGERIE at the Community School of Music and Arts in downtown Ithaca.
Kristin Sad takes on the iconic role of the mother, Amanda. Jonah Hirst plays her son, Tom; Kylie Schultz plays the daughter, Laura; and AJ Sage plays Jim O’Connor, their ’gentleman caller.’
Evening performances are at 7 pm, Friday & Saturday May 3–4, and Thursday through Saturday May 9-11. Matinee will be offered at 2pm on Sunday May 5 and May 12 (Mother’s Day). Tickets available at incognita.ludus.com
