Business Fundraisers to Support Ukraine

Our community stands with Ukraine. Many of our businesses are hosting special fundraisers to generate funds to support Ukraine and those Ukrainians impacted by the war overseas. Here is a sampling of businesses hosting fundraisers to support Ukraine.

Angry Mom Records Save The Children of Ukraine Fundraiser

Back in 2012, Angry Mom got together with Christopher King to release the 3LP box set Aimer Et Perdre: To Love & To Lose 1917-1934. Featuring pre-war folk songs about found and lost love, the box set focuses on the American South, Poland and Ukraine. The music store thought this might be a good time to put some of these into your hands and make a donation to charity while they’re at it. For each book set sold, Angry Mom will donate the profits to Save The Children: an organization helping get relief to the children of Ukraine. Featuring detailed liner notes and artwork by the one and only Robert Crumb, this anthology of heart songs is a beautiful set for lovers of folk music and international sounds. Mama Said Hand Pies

Mama Said is serving a Ukrainian-style Borscht highlighting @autumnsharvestfarm pork stew meat and bone broth, beef broth, @stickandstonefarm beets & carrots, @silverqueenfarm potatoes, cabbage, dill. It will be served with sour cream and an @oraclechocolates made sourdough rye roll! Proceeds will go to @doctorswithoutborders to assist in some small way with their work in and around Ukraine. Come try some borscht at Mama Said! It will have it through this weekend, April 8 -10!

Mt. Pleasant Pottery is fundraising for Direct Relief. $20 from the sale of each Zelenskyy mug will go to equip doctors and nurses with medical resources to help the world’s most vulnerable.
