New banking center joins lengthy list of financial institutions in the community

ITHACA, NY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2019 — The CFCU Transformation Center and administrative offices have recently joined Downtown Ithaca’s business community.

The Downtown Ithaca Alliance (DIA), City of Ithaca, and Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed the new CFCU Transformation Center and administrative offices to downtown during a special ceremony held on Thursday at the financial institution’s site in Bank Tower, 200-204 E. State St., the Commons.

“We are excited to bring CFCU’s famous service and value directly to our existing downtown Ithaca residents, students, and businesses. Their feedback on the Transformation Center’s new banking technologies will be crucial, as the CFCU leadership team continues to identify the ever-changing needs and technology preferences across the credit union’s service area. Those are the new things, the ‘transformed’ things, but at the Transformation Center we still offer all the service options everyone has come to expect from any of our CFCU

INSIDE OF THE CFCU TRANSFORMATION CENTER, CUSTOMERS WILL FIND THE LATEST BANKING TECHNOLOGY OFFERINGS FOR THEIR BANKING AND LENDING NEEDS.

The Transformation Center includes state-of-the-art banking technology including interactive touch tables, virtual teller machines (VTMs), palm readers for identity verification, genius bar, an innovation lounge, and a collaboration room.branches,” says Lisa Whitaker, CFCU Community Credit Union’s president and CEO.

In addition to all of the retail and transaction services available at CFCU’s other branches, the Transformation Center offers consumer, mortgage and business lending, business accounts, and investments. The Transformation Center opened in June 2019 and employs 27 full-time employees.
