Meet “the bickering twins,” Corey and Kevin Adelman, twin brothers and the co-owners of Bickering Twins, a popular restaurant located on N. Cayuga Street. The Adelman brothers have a passion for food and hospitality, and their restaurant is known for its creative menu, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service.
Corey and Kevin grew up in New Jersey, where they developed an early love for cooking and entertaining. Kevin studied abroad in Bolivia, where he became enamored with the country’s food and culture. In 2015, Corey joined Kevin in Ithaca, and together they started a catering company that quickly gained popularity with their creative “tasting pop-ups” at various locations around town.
After two years of success, the Adelman brothers decided to open their own restaurant. Bickering Twins Restaurant opened five years ago, in April 2018, offering a unique blend of Latin American flavors with a focus on using homemade ingredients and avoiding shortcuts. Their bar is known for its amazing margaritas, mojitos, and craft cocktails, while their food menu includes homemade guacamole, salsa, chips, tostadas, cheese, and pickled veggies.
The community has warmly embraced the Adelman brothers’ restaurant, which was voted “Best New Restaurant” in Ithaca last year. In response to the enthusiastic response, they’ve added happy hour, late-night hours, a party room, and catering services. As they move forward, Corey and Kevin are excited to welcome newcomers and longtime fans alike to their establishment, where they strive to offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience that doesn’t cut corners.
Corey and Kevin are committed to providing their customers with a memorable dining experience, and their warm and welcoming personalities have helped to create a loyal following among diners in the Ithaca community.
