ITHACA NY MARCH 21, 2020 — As New York State’s government continues to roll out new mandates for businesses in response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, many Downtown Ithaca businesses are responding by temporarily morphing their business models to include new food & beverage offerings and services to ensure the community receives essential items during this challenging time.

Below are some of the latest offerings:

Collegetown Bagels is partnering with World Central Kitchen and opened a community kitchen at its City Centre location at 301 E. State St. in downtown Ithaca.

All pre-packaged soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees are offered on a “pay what you can” basis, up to two items per person, per day. Ithacans who would like to aid in the effort have the option to “pay it forward” at the register. Their contribution will help buy the next meal for their neighbors in need. Collegetown Bagels is following the guidance of World Central Kitchen to provide meals during this uncertain time and will continue to evolve to serve the needs of the Ithaca community.

Also, the restaurant will continue to offer their full menu for delivery, curbside pickup, or take-out. Plus, all food and beverage items in the store are 10% off for members of the hospitality industry.

Lucky Hare Brewing Company’s Press Bay Alley location will be open from noon to 7 pm for to-go orders. Current crowler/growler offerings are Ding Dong Daddy, Brotato, Fruit Salad and Everything is Thawsome, while its can beer selection includes Falcon Punch, Live Action and Lagar.

Luna Inspired Street Food is offering a bulk food drive-thru and delivery service along with a meal delivery program. Plus, kids eat free. For more information on these programs, visit https://www.tompkinshomedelivery.com.

Nowhere Special Libations Parlor is partnering with Gorgers to offer a delivery service of Gorgers foods and Nowhere Special’s specialty drinks and draft beer.  Gorgers is open from 11 am to 8 pm Monday-Friday and Nowhere Special is providing its service from 4:30 pm – 12:30 am. To place an order call (314) 669-4373. Also, Gorgers is working on a partnership with Our Remedies to help deliver Our Remedies products.

Press Bay Court, 110-111 Green St., is going to provide a curbside farm food transfer starting Thursday, March 26. Farmers will be able to drop off their foods to the site from noon to 5 pm Monday through Wednesday and customers will be able to pick up their orders between 3 to 7 pm on Thursdays. The orders will be distributed by Urban Core LLC’s manager Melissa Madden. For about this service, email Melissa Madden at melissa@urbancoreithaca.com or visit http://pressbayalley.com/.
